Welcome to the WA by-name list (BNL) online training!
This training series will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to use the new WA by-name list (AAEH AtoZ Database) effectively. The by-name list is a vital tool in efforts to end homelessness, helping communities track real-time data, coordinate support and measure progress.
This course consists of six modules, each designed to guide you through key aspects of the system and its role in the broader Advance to Zero approach. You’ll learn how to navigate the database, enter and manage data, maintain privacy and security and use the system to support people experiencing homelessness in your community.
What to expect:
- Approximately one hour to complete all six modules.
- Self-paced learning – complete the modules at your own convenience.
- Interactive content, including videos and step-by-step guides.
- Short knowledge checks to reinforce key concepts.
- Practical exercises to help you apply what you’ve learned.
What you need before getting started:
- Confirm your organisation is a member: Your organisation must have a member agreement signed with the WAAEH to access the AAEH AtoZ Database. If you’re unsure whether this has been completed, check with your manager.
- Apply for by-name list access: Most workers applied in December 2024 via an online form. If you haven’t, speak with your manager to confirm whether you need to submit an application. You can request user access here.
- Sign the confidentiality agreement: All users must sign an electronic confidentiality agreement to access the by-name list. This is separate from the member agreement, which is signed by organisations.
- Register your account: Once your application is approved and your confidentiality agreement is signed, you’ll receive instructions to create your user account. This includes access to the training sandbox.
